Congratulations to Aaron Hickey on his promotion to Acting Officer. Hickey has been with Lyons Fire for several years, and continuously strives to challenge himself and learn as much as he can while on shift. Hickey began his career with Lyons Fire as a volunteer firefighter and quickly progressed into a full-time position as an Engineer in 2023. Hickey has now been promoted to Acting Officer and looks forward to the opportunities that come with this new leadership role. Hickey is very passionate about health and wellness and hopes to improve on these subject areas while working as a full-time Acting Officer.

A Celebration of Life for Captain Gregory Schrodt will be held on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at 2:00 PM.

Congratulations to our newly appointed Fire Chief, Rob Stumpf. Chief Stumpf has been in the fire service since 1998 and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program. Chief Stumpf joined Lyons Fire in February 2023 as the Deputy Chief of Operations and hopes to continue the work that he did as he transitions into this new role.
