Weather Update June 11, 2015

We are currently under a Flash Flood Watch. A strong system is moving into our area later this afternoon. The watch extends through tomorrow afternoon. We could see up to .5-1.5 inches in 10-30 minutes as well as up to 3.5 inches in 60-120 minutes possible. We could also see significant urban and street flooding if this system sits above Lyons.

The rivers are already running high due to normal spring runoff. We will continue to monitor the approaching weather system and post updates when available. LFPD will have crews out patrolling and monitoring stream levels as the storm system approaches and if we receive significant rainfall.

Please continue to check back here as well as monitor the National Weather Service, Boulder and Larimer County Office of Emergency Management and Town of Lyons pages for updates, warnings and alerts.
