CWPP Again This Summer

[fullwidth]

Lyons Fire will begin hosting community CWPP once again this summer. We will advertise these meetings via our facebook page, in the local papers and at Lyons Town Hall as well as reach out to some of the road boards and contacts we have established in some of these neighborhoods to help spread the word.

Remember to keep a watch for these meetings. We held one meeting last year with the residents of Spring Gulch. Our Goal will be to hold meeting for residents in Lyons Park Estates, X Bar7, Blue Mountain, North St. Vrain, South St. Vrain, Eagle Ridge, Steamboat Valley, and Lyons Town proper. We would like to have all these community awareness meetings completed this year. Unfortunaley due to the amount of Wildfires we had in 2012, we had to postpone these. We are hoping that we will have time this year to get most of these meetings taken care of,, but Fire comes first!

[cell_text]National Burn Awareness Week is February 3-9. The Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control joins fire and life safety educators across the state in reminding parents and caregivers that fire is just one cause of burn injuries. Children also can be seriously injured by hot foods and beverages, heating appliances, hot pots and pans, electrical currents and chemicals.
