Heavy rain likely for the Front Range and eastern plains Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon.

Monsoon moisture combined with a moist easterly upslope flow will produce widespread showers and thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and into Wednesday. An upper level system will help trigger the showers and storms… which are expected to continue through the night Tuesday night. Additional rain and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday as a second upper level system passes over the state. Widespread rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected across the area. Thunderstorms will produce locally very heavy rainfall with several inches of rain possible over a few hours.
